I’ve been fascinated by the doula role since benefitting from the support of a birth doula during my pregnancy and labor. I completed INELDA’s end-of-life (EOL) doula training course a few years later and have ever since been integrating death work into my writing / life.  EOL doulas offer non-clinical care (emotional, logistical, physical) and help with planning; engage with life reviews and legacy work; and provide support for family and friends so caretakers can bring their best, rested selves to support their dying loved one. Read my Vox piece on EOL doula work.

I am also a certified yoga instructor (200 hours) with additional certifications in oncology yoga and kids yoga.

My interests and areas of ongoing education include:

  • legacy projects

  • abortion doula work / pregnancy loss support

  • rituals for death, grief, and mourning

  • end-of-life support for LGTBQIA2S+ communities

  • end-of-life support for Jewish communities

  • meditation and breathwork

  • yoga and palliative care

  • equity in death and dying support

  • cultural dialogues about death and dying / death education
